It has a seperate Bedroom and a sofa bed. There is a smal kitchen which is fully equiped including microwave, fridge and a stove top. Ideal for the teenagers, the nanny and or the grandparents. This is a most attractive traditional style cottage with modern comfort. It is surrounded by around five acres of grounds and orange groves, leading down to the river beyond, where you can stroll in comfort and comlete privacy. The swimming pool is very large and will suit all types of swimmers. Silves is a fascinating town with history going back to Moorish occupation. There is still enough of the castle to offer some interesting exploration, after which you can wander the cobbled streets, taking in the sights and sounds of this busy town, maybe stopping at one of the many bars and cafes. The river extends inland from Portimao to Silves, and with a high tide it is still navigable for small boats. Trips can be booked for the river trip. By car one can visit the hill town of Monchique, a favourite place for artists, or drive along the west coast to admire the extensive sandy beaches. To the south Portimao offers plenty of shops and fish restaurants, and there are plenty of little villages sporting great beaches all along the south coast. For golfers, the nearest course is the new one at Morgado or a short drive to Alto or Penina.
